I’m Fran and I’m from Doncaster – a town in South Yorkshire.  I was recently in Melbourne, Australia and am currently in Sheffield ios 12.1 herunterladen.

 

Tell us about your first trip abroad? What first attracted you to travel?

My first proper backpacking trip was 3 months backpacking through Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore & the East coast of Australia.  At first it was a real culture shock, but by the time it came to go home I knew that travelling made me VERY happy.  I think what drew me in was the possibilities travel brings – you just don’t know what you’re going to see or who you’ll meet and it’s so incredibly exciting karaoke songs kostenlos herunterladen.

Every place I’ve been to is special because of the memories I have there, but I’d have to say my favourite place is Melbourne.  This purely because I lived there for a year – I made lifelong friends and had some really brilliant experiences herunterladen.

Just do it. Make it happen. Don’t hesitate, stop questioning whether it’s the right thing or not or whether you’re ready, stop wondering whether it’ll be too expensive, or worrying about what could go wrong.  The second you’re on that plane heading off on an adventure you will be so glad you’ve done it.  My top tip for nervous first time travellers is book your flights or buy your visa as soon as possible – that way you’re tied in to it and can’t back out youtube videos ipad herunterladen!

 

What is left on your bucket list for you to accomplish/see?

I want to backpack through India, visit Iceland and also do a skydive (and more backpacking) in New Zealand.  They’re the ones that are making my feet itch the most, but to be completely honest, I just want to go everywhere kaspersky kostenlosen deutsch!

 

What is the biggest difference to life overseas compared to life at home herunterladen?

Based on my experience living in Australia, I’d say the biggest difference is my own attitude!  I had such a positive outlook in Melbourne and after a while I realised that it wasn’t Melbourne’s doing that I was having such a great time – it was my own!  If there’s one thing travel has taught me, it’s that you get back what you give out.  Since arriving back in the UK I’ve made an effort to live life as a tourist would in my home city – i.e. to make the most of what there is & leave my comfort zone in order to get involved.  It’s given me a much more positive experience here.
