Tania, the small one, travelling the world interview

Introduce yourself – Where are you from? Where in the world are you currently?

My name is Tania, I am one half of www.smallandtalltravel.com (I’m the small one) samsung a6 bilder herunterladen. I’m originally from rainy South Wales in the UK but I am currently living in the sweltering heat of South Korea’s hottest city , Daegu.

2. Tell us about your first trip abroad? What first attracted you to a life abroad?

The first trip abroad I actually remember was when my family moved to live in Saudi Arabia agenda app downloaden. I remember even as kid being fascinated with the different rules they had there and the different ways of doing things. After that I was hooked on travel and wanted to experience as many different cultures as possible.

3 books download for free legal. What kind of traveller are you? Backpacker? Long-term traveller? Short term? Other?

This is a hard question since I tend to vary the way I travel. I have a list of places I want to visit, places I want to live and places I want to see again. Every where in the world seems to fit into one of these categories winauth herunterladen.

4. How do you fund yourself when travelling?

I travel with my boyfriend of 10 years and we are quite lucky that right now we are teachers in Korea which means we can pay off some debts as well as save up for our future adventures. We are also applying for working visa’s for any country we stay in for over a month so that we can hopefully keep our bags packed and moving. How did we actually fund our journey to Korea to make this money ls17 kuhn dlc kostenlosen deutsch? Well that would be credit cards I’m afraid, but it was worth it.

5. Your favourite place you have been to? And why?

An impossible question. On any given day this answer can change but some that instantly jump to mind would be New York, USA because it was a place I’d dreamed of visiting since I was a kid (thank you Sesame Street) herunterladen.

Tokyo, Japan because the culture is so different and their kooky attention to detail in this city lets you fall in love with the place over and over.

In Surat Thani, Thailand we camped in the jungle. The sound of baboon’s woke us up in the morning and then we could watch elephants play in the mud all day windows 7 operating system for free. I loved it.

Lastly I have to squeeze in Rome, Italy for the food, the dancing, the history oh and did I mention the food.

6. Your least favourite place you have been to? And why?

There isn’t anywhere in the world I’ve been that I wouldn’t visit again speedphone 11 klingeltöne herunterladen. There are places I’ve had bad experiences such as Mexico, where there were a few too many sleazy men always following you around or Saudi Arabia, where your skin had to be completely covered and you could only enter restaurants  through the female entrance but these are normally just a one off experience or a certain aspect of a place. Each country has lots more to offer. I’d never advice anyone to not visit a certain place.

7. What advice would you give to other people looking to travel herunterladen?

Do it and do it now.

Also keep a blog. Even if it’s just you that reads it, it will mean you have a record of those tiny things that you may forget and it will force you to appreciate everything that little bit more. Plus your family will know you are still alive.

8. What is left on your bucket list for you to accomplish/see?

I have quite an epic bucket list on my website http://smallandtalltravel.com/our-bucket-list/ but since I’m off to China in a few days my main aims right now are to :
1 sicherheitsprogramme kostenlos downloaden. See that wall thingy
2. Ride the Maglev train
3. Eat dumplings until I resemble one.

9. Where do you see yourself in 5 years time?

For the first time in my life I have a plan for the future so in five years time I’ll have done a year in Australia, a year in Canada, traveled through Asia, America, Africa and be living in Europe. Well at least that’s the plan. Hopefully it will be that and I won’t be living on my mum’s sofa.

10. What is the biggest difference to life overseas compared to life at home?

Experiences. Living overseas has made me realise how lazy I was back home. I remember meeting Americans that were spending a year in London and every weekend they would be heading to Paris or taking a long weekend in Germany or even just jumping on a train to Scotland. I’m from the UK and I haven’t even been to Ireland. It’s shameful. I now want to experience everything a place has to offer. It’s ironic to travel to Asia to realise you want to explore your home.
