Interview with Cahner Olson after a month of travelling Europe

1. Introduce yourself – Where are you from? Where in the world are you currently?

My name is Cahner Olson. I’m 20 years old from Omaha, Nebraska, USA and am a journalism major and international studies and French minor mit handy von youtube downloaden. I’m flying back to the states tomorrow actually, after a month in Europe. I did a 3 week study abroad in Greece and then came to London for a week to visit some family.

My first trip abroad was June 2013 when my mom and I travelled to London. I distinctly remember when we were on the train going to our hotel, I was looking out the window thinking, WOW I’m actually here! I love experiencing new things and have never been one to settle with something “normal”. Something about experiencing different cultures just attracts me and makes me want to immerse myself in it.

3. What kind of traveller are you? Backpacker? Long-term traveller? Short term? Other?

Because I’m a student, my traveling has been study/ visiting family related thus far whatsapp images error. I’m in the process of planning a long term study abroad, the location of which has yet to be determined. When I’m in other countries though I definitely like to just walk around and find things on my own rather than just doing the tourist traps. Sure I’ll hit those things too, but I want to immerse myself in the culture as well.

When I went to London for the first time, my mom paid because I went with her. This last month has been paid with student loans since it was a study abroad.

5. Your favourite place you have been to? And why?

I really liked Crete, the island of Greece windows 10. The charming towns and perfect beaches are the perfect getaway. Voidokilia beach is a MUST. It’s on an uninhabited island, just a 20 min boat ride from Crete.

Athens is my least favourite. I know they are in a government crisis right now, but the whole city is just dirty and graffiti covers the side of every building you see. People expect Greece to be filled with pretty beaches and things like that. Athens is the exact opposite. The beaches are full of trash and you can’t go anywhere without the locals pestering and following you, trying to get you to buy their products amazon prime app. We had to get really angry with some of them before they would stop bothering us.

7. What advice would you give to other people looking to travel?

My advice is DONT WAIT. There’s never going to be a perfect time and your never going to feel like you have enough money herunterladen. Just do it because no matter what happens you won’t regret it.

8. What is left on your bucket list for you to accomplish/see?

I always want to go to places that are more different than the last place I went microsoft teams. Italy is definitely next for me as far as Europe goes. I’ve also been thinking a lot about India or teaching English in an Asian country. Eventually in my lifetime, I want to say I’ve visited every continent and seen all the wonders of the world.

9. Where do you see yourself in 5 years time?

I’m really into photojournalism, so hopefully I’m doing something along that line in 5 years. I’d love to work for travel magazine or travel channel. I’m not sure exactly what I’ll be doing in 5 years, but I know I want to be traveling and documenting everywhere I go and everything I do.
